Downloading files
To open PDF files, you will need Adobe® Reader, which you can download free of charge from the website www.adobe.com
Not all the documents available here for download are barrier-free. We are committed to providing future content via barrier-free PDF files or HTML as far as possible and practical.
If you need content from older, non-accessible documents in an accessible form, please contact our public enquiry service. We will do our best to provide you with the content another way.
Navigation
All the pages in this website have the same structure, with navigation and content in separate areas.
At the top of some pages, you will find links to take you directly to the content, back to the main menu or to the search window.
In addition, the table of contents provides an overview of topics and sub-topics.
Font size
You can use your web browser to change the font size of these web pages: in Internet Explorer and Firefox, you can do so by going to the “Font size” command in the browser’s “View” menu.
Audio and video files
To play video files on this website, you will need Adobe Flash plug-in Version 8 or higher, which you can download free of charge from the website www.adobe.com
Search
Our website offers the possibility to conduct simple and advanced searches. The window for simple searches is in the upper right-hand corner of every page. There you can type in one or more search terms, and the search results will appear in a new window.
An advanced search offers additional search and sorting options:
sorting by relevance or by date,
narrowing search results
to a certain date range,
a certain type of text (for example, speeches or press releases),
or a predefined topic.
You can narrow your search by entering multiple search terms with a plus sign (+) between them (AND-search).
You may use * as a placeholder for a series of letters and ? as a placeholder for a single letter.
Adding a tilde (~) after a word supports fuzzy searches.
Printing
The content of these web pages is optimized for printing. If JavaScript is activated, the command “Print” will appear at the bottom of each page. Clicking on the word “Print” opens the printer dialogue in a new window. If JavaScript is deactivated, you can open this window by clicking on the “Print” command under the “File” menu or by pressing Ctrl P on your keyboard.
