Nancy Faeser was appointed Federal Minister of the Interior and Community on 8 December 2021.
Nancy Faeser was born in Bad Soden am Taunus on 13 July 1970. She is married and has one child.
Since 8 December 2021, she has served as Federal Minister of the Interior and Community in the cabinet of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. A particular priority during her term as federal minister is the fight against right-wing extremism. She is the first woman to lead the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community.
