Focused on the Future: Innovations for Administration (including E-Government 2.0)
The Programme presented by the Federal Ministry of the Interior provides a comprehensive strategy to further modernize the federal administration. The modernization strategy was adopted by the Federal Cabinet on 13 September 2006. It provides the basis for an even more efficient, service-oriented and innovative administration. On the basis of i2010, the experience gathered in the context of BundOnline 2005 and Deutschland-Online, the Federal Government adopted the e-Government 2.0 Programme on 13 September 2006, aiming to make more specific part of the overall strategy contained in the “Focused on the Future: Innovations for Administration” Government Programme. Flyer: Traveling securely with the ePass
On 1 November 2005 the Federal Republic of Germany was one of the first countries in the European Union to introduce the electronic passport with biometric data (called "ePass"). The flyer provides information on the legal background, technical standards, data protection and data security.
